5000kVA FeSi Submerged Arc Furnace Ferrosilicon electric furnaces are divided into reduction electric furnaces and refining electric furnaces. Reduction electric furnace, also known as submerged arc furnace or submerged arc furnace, adopts the submerged arc operation of inserting electrode into furnace charge. The reduction electric furnace has open, closed (or semi closed), and the furnace body has various forms such as fixation and rotation. Electric refining furnace is used to refine medium carbon, low carbon and micro carbon ferroalloys. The capacity of electric furnace is generally 1500 ~ 6000 KVA, which adopts the form of open fixing or tilting with cover. The former is similar to the reduction furnace and can be equipped with continuous self baking electrode; The latter is similar to electric arc steelmaking furnace, using graphite or carbon electrode.

Ferrosilicon is an essential deoxidizer in steelmaking industry, and it is also added as alloying agent. In the steelmaking industry, about 3-5kg 75% ferrosilicon is consumed for every 1t of steel produced.
